Given the mobile nature of our society, telerehabilitation can enable continuity of care while persons travel for work, vacation and/or education.

This play would be hysterically funny and cynical when performed by a community theatre. I, however, was searching for something for my middle school students to perform. Sadly, this was not the play for us. Though I am glad that I read it and have it in my script library, it was not the play I was expecting.

The story of a young French emigrant in colonial America.

This book was a 1932 Newbery Honor Book (i.e., a runner-up to the Medal winner) for best contribution to American children's literature. It is the story of thirteen-year-old Marguerite Ledoux in 1742-1743, a young French emigrant who finds herself all alone in the New World after her uncle and grandmother die. She agrees to be "bound" to a family who are moving to begin a farm on an isolated section of the coast of colonial Maine. Hence, this novel depicts farm life in colonial America and the interactions on a young girl in a whole new culture. It is a beautiful story and still finds appeal amongst readers today.

This book is a favorite of my childhood - early teen aged years. It came to mind one day recently and I decided to see if it was still available. I found a vintage copy on Amazon and ordered it. The book, dealing with early settlement in New England was as wonderful as I remembered it and I am glad that I was able to obtain a copy.

The exercises might be to easy sometimes, but you have to admit: One always forgets vocabulary anyway, so use this book to repeat important words and grammar. Also, you learn German the way it's really spoken & used in Germany.

Nice book to get into reading in German

I read this book together in class with my students and they really enjoy to be able to read their first book in this early stage of their German-learning. As a teacher and language learner I'm a big proponent of using books as soon and as much as possible and therefore think this book is a nice choice to begin with.

Explaining Parliamentary Procedure

Robert's Rules of Order was one of the best purchases I have made at Amazon.com. The book lists the basic rules of order for Parliamentary procedure. It contains great descriptions and cartoon pictures that concisely explain all of Robert's Rules of Order. This book is an excellent choice if you would like to posess a firm understanding of the procedures necessary for conducting meetings of any type.

Older Robert's, Not Current

"Robert's Rules of Order: The Standard Guide to Parliamentary Procedure" is a 1982 reprint of the 1893 "Robert's Rules of Order" with added illustrations. While that may be of historical interest, it's not the current "Robert's Rules of Order."

Robert's is regularly updated, and there have been many editions since the 1893 version. Each new edition brings changes to procedure (the latest has 120, with both new practices and names of motions). If you're supposed to follow the "most recent edition" of Robert's, Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised (11th Edition) published in 2011 is your book.

Some readers find the current manual (at 716 pages) too daunting and complex, but there are guides to make Robert's more accessible, including my Complete Idiot's Guide to Parliamentary Procedure Fast-Track (2012).

A Necessary Evil

A necessary evil in my life, but it was really nice to have a version of RRO on my Kindle for immediate reference. Thankfully, retirement looks and I should be able to put it away...but in the meantime, it is a nice reference.
