Based on an obsolete Java interface for OpenCV
By Swiss Fox
I haven't bought this book. I haven't even read it. However, anybody considering this book should note that it is based around an obsolete third party Java binding to OpenCV called JavaCV. OpenCV now has its own Java interface and it is quite different to JavaCV. Furthermore, all the new functionality in OpenCV cannot be accessed via JavaCV.

By Daniel Noonan
As other users maybe a java wrapper for OpenCV isn't the way to go. I think if you want to learn OpenCV stick with C++ and perhaps even avoid python. But like all of this author's other works this is an excellent book. It'll help anyone to understand computer vision and if you wanted to implement it in Java then this is an excellent resource. It's not expensive. I wish it had been available as a paperback though but I understand perhaps why it wasn't.
I love how the one star review is from a reviewer who states, I don't own this book and I've never read it but...classy move
